A rally against outrageous breach of all limits by the representatives of Svoboda towards the National Television Company of Ukraine was held in front of the building of the Prosecutor General's Office
In the morning on March 19 a rally against aggressive and lawless actions undertaken on March 18 by the representatives of the all-Ukrainian Union (VO) Svoboda towards the head of the National Television Company of Ukraine (NTKU) Alexandr Panteleimonov was held in front of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.
Protesters demanded that the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Oleg Makhnitskiy, who is a member of the VO Svoboda, responded to the criminal actions of his fellow party members.
"Prosecutors and investigators turn away from cameras," the participant of the rally Mikhailina Skorik informed. According to her, deputy of Svoboda Igor Miroshnichenko, who participated in the events on March 18, also came to the Prosecutor General's Office. "Everything that I did was right," Miroshnichenko stated.
The Deputy Prosecutor General Nikolai Banchuk informed protesters that "the case is being investigated;" they did not manage to get more details.
Previously, on the evening on March 18 deputies from Svoboda broke into the building of the National Television Company of Ukraine and forced the director of NTKU Alexandr Panteleimonov to write a letter of resignation. Representatives of Svoboda accused the head of the television company in lies during the coverage of the events on Euromaidan, threatened him, insulted him and forced him to sit in the armchair, hit him on his face and head.
