Pechersk Court will choose the measure of restraint for Kernes in several hours
Today, on March 13, the mayor of Kharkov Gennady Kernes was summoned for questioning to the Main Investigations Directorate of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine. According to the press-secretary of Kernes Tatiana Gruzinskaya, the interrogation lasted for about four hours. After that the mayor of Kharkov left the building of the directorate without difficultly.
At the moment it is known that the Pechersk District Court of Kiev is to choose the measure of restraint for Kernes within three hours.
The mayor of Kharkov is suspected according to three articles: tortures; death threats; unlawful deprivation of freedom or kidnap of a person. According to Kernes the case is framed-up.
"This case is framed-up by Minister Arsen Avakov. Everything that happened to Dobkin is now happening to me. The system of law enforcement bodies is working against him and me," Kernes stated.
As was previously reported, the former Governor of Kharkov is under house arrest in his Kiev apartment according to the decision of the court. Dobkin was charged with encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
