The central election committee of the Crimea: Ukraine has already fallen apart!
The chairman of the election committee of the Crimea on the republican referendum Mikhail Malyshev, stated at the press conference on March 13 that all attempts to declare expression of will of the Crimean residents non legitimate are doomed to failure. Charges in the split of Ukraine, according to Mikhail Malyshev, are groundless because the country has already fallen apart and Kiev authorities do not have control over the situation.
The Chairman of the election committee also announced details of organization of the Crimean referendum. 1,204 polling stations are already prepared, which will be open for voting from 8:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m. The location of the polling stations will remain the same as during elections in 2010 and 2012. However, absentee voting certificates are not provided, so that even oil industry workers from drilling platforms Chernomorneftegaz will be specially bought by helicopters to the polling stations.
Mikhail Malyshev paid particular attention to the demythologization about preventing international observers from attendance of the referendum. He stated that all observers and representatives of mass media will be able to be present at all stages of the voting and counting the votes. For this purpose the special provision about registration and work of observers and mass media was published on the web site of the central election committee of the Crimea.
Mikhail Malyshev also noted that Sevastopol will have ballot papers of the same pattern as in the whole Crimea.
Parliament of the Crimea allocated 16.240 million UAH to hold the referendum. The major part of these funds was spent on printing secured ballot papers and logistical support of election commissions.
