The European Commission started work on package of sanctions against Russia
The European Commission initiated preliminary preparation of a possible sanctions against Russia. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Great Britain David Cameron today, speaking in the House of Commons, where the situation in Ukraine was discussed.
«The European Commission began work on measures that can be taken against Russia, if the talks do not start or do not produce results,» Cameron said, noting that currently continues intensive effort to persuade Russia to start negotiations with Ukraine.
Previously, because of aggravation of political crisis in Ukraine, Pentagon announced suspending military cooperation with Moscow. Temporarily all joint exercises, discussions, visits and conferences were halted.
In addition, the US intended to impose sanctions against officials and othe civilians of Russia, who were considered as responsible for undermining the sovereignty of Ukraine.
