Introduction of the new governor of Kharkov region Igor Baluta was held in Kharkov Regional State Administration (OGA). The Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov came to Kharkov to introduce him.
During his introduction Igor Baluta noted that currently Ukraine went through critical time, and Kharkov residents should unite and withstand.
"We should clearly understand that Ukraine is a single nation, and no one should separate us. As of today I call on to declare a moratorium to any manifestations of separatism. We also need to reduce the level of political activity, which leads to social tension. I appeal to all the political parties for it. People want justice, they deserved it, and we are obliged to give it to them. We should eradicate corruption and organize management of state affairs in a different way. I ask all of you to help me in it. I will accept any support on your part and on the part of those who support these ideas. Those who cannot, let them leave immediately," the governor noted.
