Passenger trains in Donetsk region will resume by the end of the day - vice Prime Minister
By midnight February 11, passenger train traffic in the Donetsk region will be restored. The traffic was earlier disrupted after an accident with propane-butane train on February 2 in Krasnoarmeysky region on Udachnoe-Mezhevaya railway stretch. The information was shared by Alexander Vilkul, vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Chairman of the State Commission on Technogenic and Ecological Safety and Emergencies.
Freight trains already running on standard schedule, reported press service of the civil servant.
Earlier damaged 150 meters railway tracks and 520 meters of catenary system have been restored, all 26 tank cars with propane-butane - raised back onto the rail track.
"In general, the consequences of the accident have been eliminated. The Commission continues to work to find out the causes of the accident,” said Vilkul.
