The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the resolution of the European Parliament regarding Ukraine unbalanced

According to its press service, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called the resolution of the European Parliament about the situation in Ukraine, adopted by the European Parliament on February 6, unbalanced.

According to the comment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, some paragraphs of the resolution "coincide with the approaches of the Government of Ukraine towards settlement of the political crisis in our state." "Finding a mutually acceptable political and legal compromise in the way out from the crisis by means of a peaceful dialog, prevention of violent actions and securing the respect of human rights and freedoms were and remain the basis of action of the Ukrainian government," the comment says.

The X Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the appeal of the European Parliament to protesters of Maidan and to leaders of the opposition to refrain from the use of force has important value.

Herewith, the X Ministry of Foreign Affairs is disappointed with the bias in assessments by the European Parliament of Ukrainian authorities. "Unfortunately, a number of assessments, stated in the resolution of the European Parliament, question the impartiality and effectiveness of the activity proposed by the permanent special mission of the European Parliament in Ukraine, the reasonability of the establishment of which requires further study," the comment says. The unbalanced nature of the resolution, as well as appeals to introduce restrictive measures by the EU is not conducive for forming the all-national reconciliation and the atmosphere of confidence in Ukraine, and then disrupted the process of stabilization of the situation."

In the resolution, adopted by the European Parliament on February 6, the European parliamentarians provided point sanctions against the Ukrainian officials and recommended the EU to provide Kiev with financial assistance.

In a separate resolution the European Parliament criticized Russia, which keeps to the course of rendering pressure on the countries which are participating in the program of the East partnership with the EU.
