60 per cent of incomes of the Ukrainians consist of social benefits
Ukraine is not able to maintain itself. The first deputy chairman of the State Service of Statistics of Ukraine Vadim Pishcheyko during the press-conference in UNIAN news agency informed that the wages are only 40 percent in the structure of incomes of the population, while 60 percent constitute pensions, scholarships and social benefits.
"Disturbing is the factor that the salaries are only 40 per cent in the income structure of the population. In fact, we earn only 40 %, and the remaining incomes are pensions, scholarships, social benefits... We cannot maintain ourselves, Ukraine cannot support itself," he said.
Herewith, the official reported that the unemployment rate in Ukraine is at a rather low level - 7 %, while in the EU this rate is 9%.
