Miroshnichenko proposed a new amnesty bill for the protesters

Yuri Miroshnichenko, member of the Party of Regions, proposed a fourth amnesty bill about the detained protesters for consideration of the parliament.

The Bill 4021-3 “On elimination of negative impacts and prevention of prosecution and punishment of persons regarding the events that took place during the peaceful rallies” was registered today.

“First, vacation of the buildings, then - the law enters into force. This law will act for 15 days,” said the People’s Deputy to the media on Wednesday.

Previously, there were three alternative bills for amnesty of EuroMaidan members: No. 4021 "On elimination of negative impacts and prevention of prosecution and punishment of persons regarding the events that took place during mass protests” by Leonid Yemts, People's Deputy from “Batkivschyna” faction, No. 4021-1 «On elimination of negative impacts and prevention of the prosecution and punishment of persons regarding the events that took place during the peaceful assemblies” by Vitaly Zhuravsky and Dmitry Shpenov, People's Deputies from the Party of Regions, and No. 4021-2, by Yuri Derevyanko, independent People's Deputy (the text has not been disclosed).

According to Alexander Turchinov, former First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, the government is not ready to vote for Yemts bill, which specifies unconditional amnesty. Still, opposition forces present an ultimatum: release of administrative buildings only after the release of detained protesters.

Currently, the government and the opposition continue consultations on preparation and adoption of a common amnesty bill.
