Female journalist Tatyana Chornovol beaten up
Police opened a criminal case under the article "Hooliganism" after Kiev journalist Tatyana Chornovol was beaten. The woman was taken to the hospital with a concussion and facial injuries.
Violence against Chornovol happened today at 01.30 a.m. on Borispol highway, reports the press service of the Ministry of the Interior in Kiev. According to the victim, she was returning at night, driving her own car from Kiev to native village of Gora. Unknown individuals cut her car off using the offroader. Several men got out of the car, dragged her outside from behind the wheel, inflicted several blows and thrown into a roadside ditch. Chornovol called the police.
Tatiana Chornovol is the editor of the “Left Bank” news portal. On August 24 she penetrated the territory of the Presidential manor Mezhigorie and took some pictures there. She also participated in assault on security service bus at EuroMaidan and is a member of the opposition party “Batkivschyna”. The opposition has already announced it will picket this morning the Ministry of the Interior due to the crime.
