The new Russian cinema will be shown to the people of Moldavia
The days of the Russian cinema Rendezvous with Russia began in Kishinev.
During five days of the festival, organized by the ministries of culture of the two countries with support of the Russian center of science and culture in Kishinev, the Moldavian audience will be able to value the novelties of the cinematographic art of Russia and compare them with the films, created by the Moldavian directors.
"Our Russian colleagues have selected bright, unexpected, and new Russian films of different genres, in order to show to the Moldavian audience what films are shot in Russia now, which arouse a vivid interest of the public," said the minister of culture of Moldova Monica Babuk.
The following films by the Russian directors will be presented in Kishinev: Elena by Andrey Zvyagintsev, The Edge by Alexey Uchitel, The Major by Yury Bikov, and others. From the Moldavian side the audience will be shown the following masterpieces of the film studio Moldova-film: Ataman Kodr, Red Glades, Man Is Walking After the Sun, and Lyana.
