The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation called on the EU not to interfere in the internal affairs of Ukraine
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexey Meshkov called on the European partners not to interfere in the internal affairs of Ukraine.
"We have once again emphasized the importance of non-interference in the internal affairs of Ukraine," said Meshkov, explaining that it was necessary to "give Ukrainians an opportunity to decide on their choice themselves."
"Now some of our partners need to speak less on the topic of Ukraine. It is of fundamental importance for us not rock a boat, but indeed to look for the ways of solving the important economic problems of Europe. And such problems are not solved on Maidan, but are solved at the table of serious negotiations aimed at the search for ways out from the economic crisis for Europe and the improvement of the economic situation in Ukraine," RIA Novosti quotes the Deputy Minister.
Meshkov also reminded that many of the states of the "Eastern Partnership" are members of the CIS and CSTO, with which a number of agreements was signed in these formats.
"And to behave as if nothing of the mentioned exists, and to build the relations from the very beginning with those states, in my point of view, would be wrong. To take into account all of these points and to act in the interests of those countries, in the interests of economic development and social well-being, to which Russia is ready in its relations with our partners, is of fundamental importance," the diplomat said.
