The Crimean Tatars have criticized the “Hizb ut-Tahrir”

Some of the Crimean Tatar political and public organizations, and a number of the veterans of the national movement of the Crimean Tatars warned their compatriots about the danger of the ideas of “Hizb ut-Tahrir”. The Crimean Tatars called this party, forbidden in a lot of countries of the world, discrediting the Crimean Tatars and casting a slur upon the Crimea.

“The strategic aim of the enemies of our nation is to hamper renovation of the rights and the status of the Crimean people on the Motherland in the Crimea. A part of this strategy and one of the instruments of its implementation is the activity of the so-called “party” Hizb ut-Tahrir,” – is said in the statement.

The authors of the document remark that “Hizb ut-Tahrir”, first of all, is actively recruiting young people, “using their attraction to the religion of the ancestors”.

“Today all of them have been excluded from the active part of the nation, and have become the obedient executors of another people’s will. They were made to violate our ancient traditions. They were made to forget about the Motherland. They were made to forget about their nation. They were made to forget that they are the Crimean Tatars. Some of them were made to forget even about their families, and today they are struggling in Syria and perishing on another land and for other people’s interests,” – is said in the statement, which was signed not only by the veterans of the national movement but also by the public organizations “Milli Firka”, “Sebat”, “The Crimean Initiative Center”, and by the Crimean organization party “The United Radicals and Peasants”.

The authors of the document are convinced that “Hizb ut-Tahrir” is the “anti Islamic sect” and is carrying out several missions in the Crimea. Among them are: to confirm the image of the peninsula as the non-stable territory; to create the negative image of Islam and Muslims in the Crimea and in Ukraine; division of the Crimean Tatars into “good” and “not good” Muslims, to impose fanaticism and intolerance towards dissent; creation on the peninsula “the fifth column” as an instrument of the influence from the outside; to forbid to the Crimean Tatars to elect and to be elected and to work in the government authority.

“The Crimean Tatars do not have and cannot have anything in common with the goals and plans of the “Hizb ut-Tahrir”, including the destabilization of the peninsula and organization on its territory the armed conflict. “Hizb ut-Tahrir” is a sect foreign to our nation and Islam which does have neither rights nor competence to make any statements on behalf of the Crimean Tatars, on behalf of the Muslims of the Crimea, on behalf of the Islam religion. All their words and actions are unquestioned fulfillment of the orders and instructions of their foreign center,” – is told in the statement.

“The issue, which is being discussed, has come up long ago, but till lately it, if it could be called so, was in the state of incubation period, when this Islamic organization did not come openly with the claims regarding its priority in the Crimea. Since the ancient times the Crimea was a multinational, multicultural community in which different confession directions developed. And during the whole history of the Crimea it is difficult to name some periods when the inter-religious relations have become the main in those processes which accompanied the process of development of the peninsula. Today we may observe that the activity of “Hizb ut-Tahrir” began to obtain not only religious, but also political shades and began to cause the social resonance.

Big concern caused that neglect towards the religious and cultural traditions which we can observe among the representatives of this Islamic party. And also a big concern causes their political ambitions,” – the chairmen of the Crimean Republican Organization of the party “The United Radicals and Peasants” Enver Umerov remarked on the press conference.

The chair of the press conference, the political reviewer Renat Shaimandarov remarked that the representatives of different organizations which realize the danger of Islamism may put their signatures in the statement.

In his turn the head of the information office of “Hizb ut-Tahrir” in Ukraine Fazul Amzaev remarked that in the document there is no evidence of the fact that “Hizb ut-Tahrir” is dangerous and harmful. In connection with this he called the statement deceitful.
