System of tracking the external borders is introduced in Europe
EU introduced a tracking system for external borders (European Border Surveillance System, Eurosur). Together with Frontex, the agency for the protection of the external borders, Eurosur intended to exercise customs control at checkpoints on the land borders, ports and airports, record cases of human trafficking through passport control, and saveimmigrants when they are in danger. Eurosur will also contribute to the effective fight against crime and illegal immigration. At present, the system is installed in the EU countries and Norway. In European countries such as Austria, Denmark, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Belgium, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein, the new system will only appear on December 2, 2014.
