China Refuses to Finance Ukraine
In Beijing, the Chinese President Xi Tszinipin refused theUkrainian President Viktor Yanukovych's request to provide a loan of $ 17 billion.
Visiting the collection of the Museum Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang Di and Xi'an Aviation Industrial Corporation (AVIC), the president met the Chinese President Xi Jinping. Premier Wen Li Ketsyanom and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the PRC Detsyanom Zhang were at the meeting in Beijing too. Ukrainian guests discussed the signing a number of mutually beneficial investment projects. Then Yanukovych asked for a loan. The Chinese President refused to give a positive response, commenting on "the issues of new loans will be considered and analyzed later".
We may recall that in 2012, China has allocated $ 3.7 billion to Ukraine on energy program and $ 3 billion for the reconstruction of agricultural sector. 3 billion dollars were subsidized for the reconstruction of irrigation systems in 2013.
