Vilkul: the important enterprises in Ukraine are transferred to 24-hour operation

The Vice-Premier Alexandr Vilkul commissioned the heads of regional state administrations, mayors, directors of heating, utilities, water, gas and electricity supply companies, as well as heads of the road facilities and the government authority for emergency situations to ensure a stable functioning of life-support systems.

The website of the Ministry of Infrastructure contains a statement of the minister, in which he urges the heads of the companies to take the life-support systems of the population under their personal control.
The minister suggests undertaking the following measures: transfer the operation of the companies to an intensified regime of operations with 24-hour duty, ensure round-the-clock presence of emergency teams, promptly report any emergency situation to the Central Control Room of the Regional Ministry for rendering required assistance.

Tomorrow, on December 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. the Vice-Premier Aexandr Vilkul and the Vice-Premier Yuri Boiko will hold an all-Ukrainian intercom meeting on the issues of securing stable functioning of life-support systems. The meeting will also be attended by the officials of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing Maintenance and Utilities, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, the Government Authority for Emergency Situations and by the heads of the regions.
