The Constitution of the Republic will be adopted in the Crimea tomorrow
The head of the state council Vladimir Konstantinov has announced that the Constitution of the Republic will be adopted tomorrow, on April 11, during the session of the state council.
He has emphasized that this session will be "historical" and urged all the deputies to personally participate. "No issues can be more important than that," assures Konstantinov.
It's worth reminding that a constitutional commission on preparation of the main law of the republic has been working in the Crimea earlier. According to the draft Constitution, the parliament will be a legislative body, rather than the representative one, as it used to be earlier, when the autonomy was a part of Ukraine.
By the new constitution the head of the republic will be elected by the state council for the term of 5 years for not more than two terms in a row. The state council will also be elected for a five year term.
