Federal Supervision Agency for Information Technologies and Communications: re-registration of the Crimean media will take place within 10 months
On April 2 the head of Federal Supervision Agency for Information Technologies and Communications (Roskomnadzor) Alexandr Zharov said in Simferopol that, according to the norms of the Russian law, the Crimean media will have to undergo re-registration procedure during 10 months.
According to him, this time is sufficient for the Crimean media to obtain the status of the Russian legal entities. Zharov has emphasized that Roskomnadzor in its turn will do everything possible to facilitate the procedure and minimize the redtape.
Moreover, educative seminars, during which all the regulatory specifics of the media functioning at the peninsula during the transition period will be clarified, are planned to be conducted in the Crimea in May.
The head of the agency has also reported that department of Roskomnadzor in the Crimean Republic and the city of Sevastopol is currently being created in the peninsula. 11 people are on the staff list of the service.
