The Crimeans will be drafted to army starting with 2015
The head of the Ministry of Defense Sergey Shoigu has reported that the draft of the residents of the Crimean federal district to army will start in 2015 and that the recruits of the Crimea and Sevastopol will be serving in the peninsula till the end of 2016.
RSN reports that the minister explained that the above system will be used because the system of registration of the citizens with military authorities and military registration and enlistment offices are not ready in the territory of the new entities.
Sergey Shoigu has also noted that military parades in honor of the Victory Day will be held in Sevastopol and 23 other Russian cities.
Earlier the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on recognition of diplomas and military ranks of the soldiers of Ukraine, who decided to deflect to serve in the army of Russia.
"This will enable us to take the people into contractual service till all the formalities are resolved, including acquisition of citizenship," noted the president.
