The armaments of the Ukrainian military units will be handed over from Crimea to Ukraine — Putin
The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin ordered to hand the arms and equipment of those military units, which had not joined the ranks of the Russian army, over to Ukraine. The equipment includes around 350 units of armored and auto machinery and, possibly, several ships and airplanes.
According to military experts, that machinery, which remained in the Ukrainian armed forces since the Soviet times, is obsolete and is not in the best condition.
As of today, withdrawal of the Ukrainian soldiers, who refused to join the ranks of the Russian army, is practically finished. Ukrainian officers, who were detained in the Crimea on suspicion of assisting the extremists, were also released, namely: deputy commander of the Ukrainian navy General-Major Igor Voronchenko, commander of tactical aviation brigade in Belbek colonel Yuly Mamchur, commander of battalion of marines lieutenant colonel Dmitry Delyatsky and his deputy major Rostislav Lomtev.
According to Kriminfrom, these officers were released because they did not perform criminal orders from Kiev and collaborated with the state security authorities during investigation.
