Giprotransmost will develop the feasibility study for the bridge across Kerch Strait
The Russian state enterprise Rosavtodor has reported that OJSC Giprotransmost was recognized as a winner of a contest for development of the feasibility study and conduct of engineering research for the project of constructing the bridge across Kerch Strait.
The price for the contract for development of the feasibility study and conduct of engineering research, which should be ready in the autumn of the current year, amounted to 375 million rubles. Seven organizations participated in the contest.
Presumably, the bridge will be constructed by OJSC Volgomost from Saratov, which repeatedly presented the concept of superposed 6.3 kilometers long automobile and railroad bridge, developed jointly with Giprotransmost, at international exhibitions.
Automobile approaches to the bridge will be 46 km long, while the railroad ones — 13 km long. The total cost of the construction will amount to 3 billion dollars.
