Customs control between Russia and the Crimean Republic has been abolished

The press-service of the Federal Customs Service of Russia reports that customs control of citizens, vehicles and goods has been canceled between the Russian Federation and its new entities — The Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

As the head of the customs authority Andrey Belyaninov noted during the meeting of the Crimean customs on March 24, at the moment the activity of the customs bodies of the peninsula is being analyzed, after which the issues of their technical and material equipment, inclusive of communication facilities and office machines, will be resolved.

Moreover, the head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia has given assurances that the issue of social support of the employees of the customs bodies of the Crimean Republic is under the strictest control and that the pensions will be calculated in accord with the Russian laws.
