Starting March 24, Crimea pensions paid in rubles
Starting Monday, March 24, the Crimean retirees will get their pensions in rubles., said Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea Rustam Temirgaliev at the press conference in Simferopol.
For now, this will be a non-indexed amount — that is, the UAH equivalent of the pension, multiplied by the set coefficient. In the next two or three months the Russian Pension Fund will set up a personal accounts for Crimea pensioners. After that the pensions will be fully indexed and be paid in accordance with Russian legislation.
Today, on March 24, the Fund has already sent to the Crimea pensioners some 300 million rubles. This is the first installment, to be delivered by the “Crimea-mail”.
When formation of the banking system is complete (ETA — April 15), people will also be able to get the pension money in the bank branches.
