Putin and Merkel discussed the situation after the reunification of the Crimea with Russia
According to the press service of the Kremlin, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel discussed the current situation after the reunification of the Crimea with Russia.
Further details of the telephone conversation are not reported. Politicians also endorsed harmonization of the mandate of the OSCE mission, which will soon leave for Ukraine to monitor the situation.
"As for the crisis in Ukraine, both sides expressed satisfaction with regard to harmonization of the mandate of the OSCE mission, which will carry out activities in this country," the message of the Kremlin stated.
As was previously reported by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, 400 representatives of OSCE would arrive to monitor the developments in Ukraine.
Putin and Merkel expressed their willingness to continue the dialog between the countries, including at the expert level.
