The diary of Morrison is on sale
The diary of the leader of the band The Dооrs Jim Morrison will be sold at the auction in San Francisco. The organizers are expecting to receive $ 300,000 for it.
"The workbook in leather binding has about 100 pages. It has records of the sketches of the some poems by Morrison, and his philosophical reflection about the world. It is supposed that Morrison made many of the records under the influence of drugs," the Russian publications with reference to the "The Times" note.
The diary has the records of 1971, when Morrison together with his girlfriend Pamela Courson lived in France after The Dооrs finished work on their last album "La Woman".
After the death of the musician the diary got to the group manager Bill Siddons. In 1984 he gave it to the well-known English guitar player Graham Nash, who decided to sell the diary on auction.
Jim Morrison organized the group The Dооrs in 1965, during his studies in Los Angeles. The group became one of the pioneers of the psychedelic rock, and Morrison till nowadays is considered to be one of the most charismatic frontman in the history of rock-music.
Morrison died in 1971, at the age of 27. According to the official version, his death was caused by drug overdose.
