Russia’s Constitutional Court to check the agreement on Crimea’s accession to the RF
Russian Constitutional Court will check the international agreement on Crimea’s accession to the Russian Federation against Russian Constitution.
According to the press service of the Constitutional Court, Putin issued the corresponding request on March 18.
“The request was accepted for consideration without public hearings,” reads the statement of the Constitutional Court.
Decision of the Constitutional Court on this inquiry will be published in “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” newspaper and “On the official Internet portal of legal information”.
The agreement on Crimea’s accession to the RF was signed in Kremlin on March 18. In a referendum on March 16, more than 96% residents of the peninsula were in favor of annexation to Russia.
