The agreement on joining the Republic of Crimea to the Russian Federation has been signed
The agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of the Crimea on joining the peninsula to the composition of the Russian Federation and creation of new entities in the composition of the Russian Federation was signed on March 18 in the Kremlin.
The signed document is based on the free and voluntary expression of will of peoples of the Crimea at the all-Crimean referendum, held in the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea and Sevastopol on March 16, 2014, in the course of which peoples of the Crimea decided to reunite with Russia.
According to the press-service of the head of the state, the document was sealed with signatures of V. Putin, the chair of the State Council of the Republic of the Crimea V. Konstantinov, the head of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of the Crimea S. Aksenov and the chair of the coordinating council of Sevastopol city management of vital activity of Sevastopol A.Chalyi.
The Republic of the Crimea is considered to be admitted to the Russian Federation since the date of signing of the agreement.
