Kharkov Opera premiere — a new vision of “Eugene Onegin” by Belarus conductor
Tomorrow, Kharkov Opera House welcomes the premier of the “Eugene Onegin” opera.
The production led by world-renowned musician from Belarus Victor Ploskin. His collaboration with Kharkov Opera lasts for the past four years — currently, Victor he is the Artistic Director. For the leading role, the conductor chose Vladimir Kozlov, a very young artist (just over 20).
The Artistic Director also replaced many other leading soloists with young actors. “The future, the spring, the youth belong to the young — that’s the words I can say about the play that will be staged tomorrow,” said Viktor Ploskin. He also noted that in this production he tried to look on the Pushkin era through the prism of today.
