Starting March 30, Crimea moves to Moscow time
On March 30, 2014 Crimea will synchronise its time with Moscow, according to the time bill approved by the Crimea State Council.
“To establish that the movement of rail, water, air, intercity public road transport, as well as the work of long-distance telephone and telegraph services in the Republic of Crimea is carried out on Moscow time,” reads the bill.
Today, on March 17, Following the results of referendum to determine the status of autonomy, Crimea has been declared an independent sovereign state.
People's Deputies of the autonomy’s parliament appealed to Russia asking for secession of the Crimea as a new federal subject of Russia.
