Feodosia tank farm is under control of Crimean authorities
The authorities of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea now control Feodosia tank farm, which accounts for about half of the Ukrainian marine import of light oil products.
The enterprise started stocktaking procedure; a new director has been appointed. According to the newspaper “Crimea. Comments”, the new director is Andrei Vorobyov. Crimea self-defence units protect the facility.
Feodosia tank farm is the only state-owned enterprise of Ukraine engaged in maritime transportation of petroleum products. Tank farm capacity is about 12 million tons of light oil products, oil and lubes per year. Currently, the company is implementing vacuum gasoil and fuel oil loading systems.
In 2013, Feodosia tank farm imported about 573,000 tons of petrol and 461,000 tons of diesel fuel. VETEK group of companies was the largest client of the complex.
