Nikolai Valuev: "Only the Crimean people are entitled to deciding, if they want to be with Russia or not"
The well-known boxer, the deputy of the State Duma of Russia Nikolai Valuev during the press conference in Simferopol declared that that only residents of the Crimea were entitled to deciding if they wanted to join the republic to the Russian Federation or not.
"It is about the fact that on March 16 only the Crimean people are entitled to deciding, if they want to be with Russia or not. It is about rescuing people, and all people, who live on this territory. We should not think in terms of joining or not joining," he said.
According to Valuev, the world community is applying double standards, and now it is not worth focusing on it.
"We need to discus if the Crimean people need it or not, and whether the international community will recognize it is a secondary question. As for the international community, it demonstrates the policy of double standards: let us recall Kosovo, and South Ossetia," the deputy noted.
