Yanukovych: the gang of ultra nationalists and fascists is heading Ukraine
Viktor Yanukovych at the press-conference in Rostov-on-Don on March 11stated that power in Ukraine was seized by ultra nationalists and fascists, who want to put Ukrainian army under the flag of Stepan Bandera, to make fighters of nationalist organizations part of the army and to unleash the civil war.
"Behind the lure of the allegedly authorized government the gang of ultra nationalists and fascists is operating in the country, which aims at the presidential post. They capture by force bodies of local self-government, they dismiss heads of the police and security service not only in the center, in Kiev, but also in regions. Cities are patrolled by masked men, with bandages on their hands. Extreme violence towards citizens of Ukraine is growing," Yanukovych said.
"They dismiss senior military officers, and those who oppose the use of Armed Forces of Ukraine in south-east of the country against peaceful population. Just think over, they want to put the army under the flag of Bandera and to unleash the civil war. They want to make fighters of nationalist organizations part of the armed forces and give them weapons."
Yanukovych once again emphasized that he remained the legitimate President of Ukraine and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
