Russia to give Crimea $1.1 billion in 2014
After the autonomy enters Russia, pensions and salaries will increase three-fold — the Kremlin is going to use the Republic to show how the region can be developed with the support of the Federal government, said State Duma deputy, deputy head of the Industry Committee Pavel Dorokhin at the press conference in Simferopol.
“The Russian government has opened in the budget a large sum, only this year it will be about 40 billion roubles, for the support and development of the Crimea. First of all, this concerns the construction of roads, support of military industry, mechanical engineering, oil processing, and servicing the Black Sea Fleet.
We envisage clear measures, we (the State Duma — Nahnews) discussed the ways to support specific businesses. And I, as an official person, I declare that after the Crimea-wide referendum, after the reunification with Russia, I will personally control the issues of support and development of these enterprises,” said Pavel Dorokhin.
He understands the concern of many Crimeans for the future, but calms them: Russia will support the entry of autonomy into the Federation. On Tuesday, there will be a meeting of the State Duma, where the deputies will discuss the issue of Crimea’s accession to the Russian Federation in case of a positive result of Crimea-wide referendum.
“Using Crimea as an example, we want to show how the regional economy can be developed with the support of the Federal government. Salaries and pensions, compared with Ukrainian, would grow 2.5 to 3 times, because they would reach the Russian national level,” said the deputy chairman of the State Duma Industry Committee.
Earlier, First Deputy Prime Minister of the ARC said that Russia is ready to invest in the autonomy about $6 billion.
