Kharkov residents get a chance to see legendary photos from Air France archives
Exhibition of photographs “Stars between heaven and earth” from Air France archives opens on March 11 in the “French Boulevard” gallery.
The exhibition uncovers France's aviation industry in 1950-1971, the early era of large propeller-run airliners. Exhibition will show black and white photographs from the archives of Air France airline depicting its outstanding passengers: Brigitte Bardot, Frank Sinatra, Marlene Dietrich, Alfred Hitchcock, Federico Fellini, Yves Saint Laurent, Sean Connery, Charles Aznavour, Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin. This collection reflects the time when the only Air France photographers had a privileged access to the celebrities on the runway or on the board of the planes landing at the Orly airport.
According to organisers, the photographs that will be shown in Kharkov have already been exhibited all over the world with a huge success.
The exhibition will run until March 26.
