Russian Foreign Ministry demands investigation into Maidan shooting
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov demanded European investigation of so-called “snipers case” in Kiev. According to Lavrov, “Ukraine has practically no state control over law and order. And the piper that calls the tune, the so-called “Right Sector” works through terror and intimidation. They threaten not only official authorities in Kiev and Ukrainian regions, but also to the heads of other neighbouring Russian regions.”
During the riots in central Kiev, more than 100 people were killed. Some of them have been the victims of unknown snipers. Later, someone uploaded to the Internet the record of the phone conversation between Catherine Ashton and Estonia Foreign Minister; the conversation hints that the opposition leaders could have contracted the snipers.
