The Security Council of the United Nations does not recognize the referendum in the Crimea as legitimate
The Security Council of the UN considers the referendum about the status of the Crimea, scheduled on March 16 on the territory of the autonomy, illegal.
On Thursday, March 6 the Permanent Representative to the United Nations Mark Lyall Grant after routine consultations in the Security Council stated that the referendum would be illegal and would lead to serious worsening of the situation in the country.
The Security Council of the United Nations admits that only the all-Ukrainian referendum will be recognized legitimate.
On Thursday, March 6, members of the Security Council of the UN gathered for the fourth time to discuss the social and political situation in Ukraine. Earlier the Security Council of the United Nations gathered on February 28, as well as on March 1 and 3.
