The Prosecutor General’s office launched anti-corruption investigation

The Prosecutor General service of Ukraine carries out mass checks of the legality of conducting of tender procurement in the ministries and departments.
It is reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor on Wednesday, March 5.

 

«Effective step towards prevention of mass crimes by officials is the beginning of an ambitious anti-corruption investigation of activities of ministries and departments. The competence of the Prosecutor’s office is to investigate the legality of the tender procurement», the message tells.

 

So, the Ministry of health in 2013 bought antiviral drugs, supplies and reagents for the diagnosis of diabetes by more than UAH 100 million. The Fund of social protection of disabled persons has been allocated UAH 31.9 million for the purchase of special vehicles.

 

For construction of buildings of Higher economic and Supreme administrative courts companies has been allocated UAH 1.1 billion from the state budget.

 

 

Whether it really takes  so much money for the completion of the relevant procedures, experts of General Prosecutor’s office will determine during the investigation and documentation control.
