Voluntary group activists in Odessa will require holding the referendum about the destiny of the south of Ukraine
The head of Odessa organization the Youth Unity Anton Davidchenko stated in the independent mass media center, organized by journalists that public organizations in Odessa will require holding a referendum regarding the further destiny of Odessa, Nikolayev and Kherson regions, as well regarding a number of national issues.
The leader of the youth organization considers that such issues as administrative and territorial reform and judicial reform, as well as the issue regarding giving Russian language an official status should be put to the referendum.
"We have the right to hold the referendum in three southern regions, in order to decide the destiny of our regions ourselves," Anton Davidchenko told. "Why could people, standing on Maidan in Kiev, decide the fate of the entire country, and we on our own land cannot decide how we should live here?"
