State of emergency is not needed in Crimea, says Refat Chubarov
State of emergency in the autonomy due to the situation on the peninsula is not a necessary measure for ensuring the order. This was stated by Refat Chubarov, member of Supreme Council of Crimea, head of Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people, at a briefing in Simferopol.
“The international community believes that the resolution of the crisis has reached a level where it will be attended to by states and international organizations. We encourage our citizens to base their behavior on the fact that we live in a sovereign independent state of Ukraine, and keep completely calm, pending the resolution of the conflict as will be decided by our Ukrainian state and international organizations — of course, with the participation of the Russian Federation. Because today Russian troops are deployed on the territory of Crimea,” said Refat Chubarov.
According to him, all Ukrainian citizens living in Crimea should follow the current Ukrainian legislation.
