Prosecutor General's Office began to investigate economic crimes of the former authorities
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine with the reference to the first deputy Prosecutor General Nikolay Golomsha, the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine started to investigate economic crimes of the previous authorities.
"We call on everyone who has information about them send it us. We made inquiries in 12 departments; we are analyzing accounting documents that we found in Mezhigorie. This work needs time," Golomsha said.
Investigation stated that there was the general scheme of misappropriation of state funds, 30 high-ranking individuals were involved, and it was, probably, coordinated by the former prime minister or acting prime minister.
Golomsha also reported that, perhaps, the ex-prime minister Nikolay Azarov and businessman Sergey Kurchenko will be announced wanted, if there is definite evidence of their involvement in economic crimes.
