Unknown people tore off the nameplates of The Heroes of Maidan Square on the central square of Dnepropetrovsk.
It should be noted that these tables caused bewilderment among a lot of inhabitants of the city, as changing the name of the square without public hearings is illegal. Participants of Euromaidan in their turn, called on ruffians to place the plates back. In addition, activists ask people, who stole the signs, to apologize in public. By the way, photos with missing plates appeared in social networks in several hours.
Previously deputies of the City Council voted in favor of renaming Lenin Square into Heroes of Maidan Square at the emergency session on February 22, the next day after demolition of the monument. In spite of the fact that the issue was not discussed at the public hearing, the table with the new name appeared on the square the next day.
