Chronicle of the Crimean events of February 27 (updated)
10:50 a.m. — Mogilev held a briefing near Verkhovna Rada in Karl Marx Street.
He said that he knew nothing about armored personnel carriers, which, according to the rumors, set off the villages Chistenkoe and Ukromnoe to Simferopol.
He does not know who the people that seized the building are. He said that they behave in a more or less civil way. There are no victims. He informed that 15 deputies, who intend to hold a meeting of the presidium, are now in the building of parliament. In particular, Petr Zaporozhets and Sergey Donich are there.
Today NATO troops are not expected in the Crimea.
9:00 a.m. - According to eyewitnesses, a sound bomb was blown up inside the Council of Ministers. Cordon was moved to the next block.
9:00 a.m. - The head of the Crimean government Anatoliy Mogilev met with representatives of invaders, who stated that they are not authorized to negotiate and declare demands. Mogilev left his contact phone numbers for further communication with invaders.
The block near the Council of Ministers is surrounded, not all representatives of the law enforcement officers are allowed to enter there.
4:00 a.m. — Seizure of buildings of parliament and of the government of the Crimea by unknown people in uniform with no identifying marks. They are armed.
