Lavrov called on Germany, France and Poland affect the Ukrainian opposition
On Saturday, February 22, RF Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in a telephone mode discussed with the foreign ministries of Germany, France and Poland inability of the Ukrainian opposition to go through the obligations of the agreements reached on 20 February. Lavrov urged to influence the opposition in suppressing extremist movement.
«The opposition had not fulfilled any of their obligations, but put forward new requirements, following the armed extremists and thugs, whose actions posed a direct threat to the Sovereignty and Constitutional order of Ukraine,» was published on the page of the press service of the MFA of Russia.
Heads of Ministries F.-W. Steinmeier, L. Fabius and R. Sikorski acknowledged the incapacity of the opposition and promised to take appropriate measures.
Let's remind, earlier a meeting of Ukrainian opposition Vitaliy Klitschko, Oleg Tiahnybok and Arseniy Yatseniuk with the Foreign Ministers of Germany, France and Poland was held. Politicians discussed the ways of stopping the escalation of the conflict in the country.
