Kherson region artisans to make the largest towel in Ukraine
In preparation for celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Kherson region, local artisans plan to stitch the “Kherson Towel”, planned to be the largest in Ukraine, according to the press service of the Kherson Regional State Administration.
The “Kherson Towel” project have already been joined by all schools of the region.
The organizers plan to complete the work by March 1.
The program for celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Kherson region includes a number of other events. In particular, the festival of amateur art, competition of the regional museums, meetings of the famous local people with the youth within “Dialog of Generations” project.
The program will also include exhibitions “Kherson: time, events, people” and the regional competition of creative works.
Kherson region was formed as a part of Ukrainian Republic on March 30, 1944 by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
