Volcano eruption on island of Java — three people dead
Kelud, one of the most dangerous volcanoes of Indonesian archipelago, is erupting on Java Island; the region has been given the highest hazard level, informs Russia’s news agency ITAR-TASS.
The eruption has already killed three people, with more than 76,000 being evacuated from the danger zone. Seven airports of the island are closed.
The height of the Kelud volcano is 1,731 metres.
Its last eruption in 1998 killed 35 people.
