We are not expecting any medals on February 13, but hope for a sensation
Today Ukrainians will participate in men’s biathlon, ladies’ skiing, luge, and figure skating.
Our skiers will start the first. They will compete in the race for 10 kilometers classic. It will begin at 12:00 a.m. We center our hopes on experienced Valentina Shevchenko. Although, she prefers the 3 times longer distance. Katerina Grigorenko, Tatiana Antipenko and Marina Lisogor will participate in the race as well.
At 4:00 p.m. the individual race in the men’s biathlon will start. Athletes will have to cover 20 kilometers and 4 firing points. 4 Ukrainians will participate. Sergei Semenov, Andrey Derizemlya, Artem Prima, Dmitriy Pidruchniy are not favorites of this race. But they may surprise us.
At 5:00 p.m. Yakov Godorozha will go to the skating rink of the sports center Aysberg. Here the men’s short program in figure skating will begin. Getting into the free program will be a good result for the Ukrainian.
Team competition in luge will begin at 6:15 p.m. It will be a relay race. The national team of Ukraine will take part in it. By turn, immediately one after the other Elena Shukhumova and Andrey Kis will start in single luge, as well as Alexandr Obolonchik and Roman Zakharkiv will start in the double luge. But our athletes, most likely, will not offer real competition to Germans, who are favorites of the competition. 3 champions of the Olympic Games in Sochi will represent the German national team.
