The Public Prosecutor's Office of Kiev region is ready to close 4 criminal cases in exchange for release of administrative buildings
According to the press-service of the department with the reference to the prosecutor of Kiev region Mikhail Vityaz, the Public Prosecutor's Office of Kiev region is ready to close four criminal cases on the fact of mass disturbances, if the protesters fulfill requirements of the law.
"The Public Prosecutor's Office of Kiev region is ready to close 4 criminal cases, initiated on facts of mass disturbances, which are investigated by the Investigative directorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the region. Such a mechanism of amnesty will be applied," Vityaz said.
He specified that the criminal cases are opened according to the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: article 279 (blocking of transport communications), article 296 (hooliganism), article 343 (interference into work of law enforcement officers), article 345 (threat or violence against law enforcement officers), article 376 (interference into work of judicial authorities), article 377 (threat to or violence against judges).
Vityaz emphasized that amnesty will be applied only on the condition of fulfillment of all requirements provided by the law about exemption from criminal responsibility, in particular, under condition of release of the occupied buildings of the government throughout the country, as well as release of main traffic arteries.
