Ukraine and Belarus will set common system for customs information exchange
A decision on introduction of interstate system of customs information exchange was adopted on 5 — 6 February, at a meeting of working groups of Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus. The meeting took place in Minsk.
The system provided free information accessabout the vehicles with the goods crossing the Ukrainian-Belarusian border to both countries. As experts of the Ministry of incomes of Ukraine state, adoption of a unified data will significantly reduce the number of illegal traffic, as well as effectively anticipate possible risks.
So it not only simplifies the customs procedure due to the reduction of time, checking vehicles, but also the security of the countries will be under control.
Implementation of this project will provide the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Revenues and Duties of Ukraine under the flagship initiatives on «Integrated border management» programme of the European Union’s «Eastern partnership».
Previously, such agreements on information share has been signed by Ukraine and the Russian Federation, the Republic of Moldova and Poland.
