Norwegian snowboarder injured in Sochi
Kjersti Buaas fell during slopestyle qualifying round, i.e. performing a series of acrobatic jumps.
Performance of Norway athlete Kjersti Buaas on Sochi Olympics ended in failure. Bronze medallist of Vancouver fell during the execution of one of the jumps and got injured. She was able to leave the track only with the physicians’ help.
This is not the first injury of snowboarders in Sochi. Two days ago, Norwegian Torsten Horgmo broke a collarbone during training session. He was considered a top contender for the gold in Sochi. The Olympics finished without even starting for Finnish athlete Merica Enne, who received a head injury.
