Driver of the minibus in train collision pleaded guilty
The driver of the minibus that collided with a train at a railway crossing in the Sumy region has acknowledged his violation of the traffic rules. The man did not respond to a warning light and semaphore buzzer, continuing to move over the railway track. Of the examination, the driver was sober.
He worked on the route the second day and was on probation. The driver had no employment contract. Driver explains the accident by bright sun that distracted him so he did not see the train coming and so tried to slip in front of it, despite hearing the warning signal.
